Employees in the ESU are optimally positioned to safely facilitate the majority of work zone tasks while protected by the truck bed. From the ESU, located just behind the cab of the truck, employees are secured to the truck bed where they are less likely to be the first point of contact during a collision and effectively shielded by the bed from most collisions.
